You have to hand it to Manchester City

Manchester City to win at Anfield and for both teams to score was a winning tip to members of VG Tips at odds of 11/4.

City won the game 1-4 and had a helping hand from Liverpool goalkeeper, Alisson Becker. His two errors made victory an easier task for the visitors.

In doing so he effectively handed the Premier League title to Manchester City. On a plate. But Liverpool didn’t lose their crown yesterday. Ever since their central defender Virgil Van Dijk was ruled out for the season following a reckless challenge back in October, Liverpool were up against it. Further injuries to defenders made the task of retaining the title a mission impossible.

As for Manchester City, the turnaround in form this season has been notable. They could not defend to save their lives early in this campaign. But since 2021 dawned, Pep Guardiola and his assistants have made City much harder to score against. Seemingly almost impossible to beat. Defenders such as John Stones are vastly improved and Man City are once again dangerous going forward. It’s their title to lose.

Other winning tips for members of VG Tips last weekend included another win for Brentford, this time at odds of 7/5. Victory for Tranmere Rovers at odds of 6/5. Chelsea won for us at Sheffield United at odds of 8/15 and, up in Scotland, Hibernian won at odds of 13/8.
