The 2014 World Cup in Brazil kicks off tonight, Friday.
I'm not touching the Brazil v Croatia game that launches the tournament. Brazil should win, of course, but are too short a price to bother with.
There are three matches on Friday. I shall be watching Spain v Holland with great interest.
Then, on Saturday, England play Italy on a poor looking pitch. A friend of mine is filming there. Two days ago he sent me photos of workmen busy getting the stadium ready. And the preparation of the pitch has been botched. How on earth can something planned . . .
