We have all grown accustomed to how inconsistent football has become, especially in the lower leagues. So often teams doing well suddenly go and lose to another that has been in poor form. Look at the most surprising result of the weekend – Coventry 1 v 5 Tranmere. Where on earth did that come from?
That unexpected result brought down my 12/1 acca in which QPR, Hartlepool and Port Vale all won as predicted.
But I tipped Stevenage at a great single price of 5/1 to win at Peterborough and another away win was the victory by Bolton at odds of 7/2.
There was also money to be made on draws last weekend. Brentford got a point at Wolves at odds of 13/5 and the Merseyside Derby ended as a 3-3 draw. I tipped up the draw at odds of 12/5.
