After a splendid weekend of FA Cup shocks last weekend, we return to domestic league action.
Chelsea versus Manchester City is the highlight fixture. Man City have to go for a win at Stamford Bridge. It will be interesting to see if, tactically, that's what they do.
Chelsea now know they are in the League Cup final. Their opponents will be Tottenham. For my generation, that takes me back to 1967.
But football has changed considerably since then. The only things that remain the same are the objective of scoring more goals than your opponents, and each time begins . . .
