Chelsea won the Premier League, as predicted here last September. Tottenham ran them close and in many other seasons, Spurs would have won the title. But Antonio Conte made Chelsea hard to beat from October 1st onwards and players who had downed tools for their previous manager, pulled their fingers out for their current one.
Spurs fans can celebrate finishing higher than local rivals, Arsenal. It is the case that Tottenham have played some attractive football this season. Their problem next season may be having to play their home matches at Wembley. That plan did not work well for Arsenal . . .
