Pythagorean and Joyeuse were among 2 of the 4 winning tips to members on Tuesday. The first named was as big as 13-8 and 6-5 the night before racing when members were advised to be on this Roger Charlton runner for the second time.
Joyeuse was always going to be an odds on price. A half sister to the great Frankel, trainer Sir Henry Cecil knows how to get his string to win on debut and Tom Queally – who rode Frankel to glory time after time – steered Joyeuse to what is a first career win, but unlikely to be her last.
Toormore was priced at 10-3 when selected for members on the morning of the race. The Richard Hannon trained colt made a good looking debut and won first time out.
