Super Saturday saw subscribers to my selections service bash the bookies in fine fashion.
My appreciative members may have joined on a monthly basis or taken advantage of the half price annual membership that ends at midnight on May 30th. Regardless, they’ve had their say.
“Never followed a service but couldn’t recommend yours more. Year membership paid for already. Even at small stakes and have the figures to prove it. Top work. Your work is much appreciated” – ‘Risk for Rewards’
It’s always good to hear back from loyal members. They get it. They understand my way of working. They know all punters have good days and bad days. But, with VG Tips, they know that the good months outnumber the bad. They understand that profitable punting is a marathon, not a sprint. That’s why so many sign up for a year of racing and football betting tips.
People like Alun, who tweeted:- “On fire today, Vernon” and Paul e-mailed me to say:- “Great Saturday Vernon! Smashing tips/analysis!”
Winners at 16/1, 5/1 and 5/4, along with each way placed profit at 12/1, 8/1 and 15/2, led to members of VG Tips making plenty of profit on racing at the Curragh, Goodwood and Haydock Park on Saturday May 25th.
ALARQAM was my 5/1 win only NAP. PHOENIX OF SPAIN my 16/1 each way NAP and BATTAASH my early bird profitable punt at 5/4.
Louis was off to a flyer when backing the first winner on Saturday, Elarqam. He tweeted:- “Great start to the afternoon.”
The timing of when people join my decades long service can dictate what they think of it. Join on a day or in a week when we luck out, and a new member can think I am useless. Sign up in a great week of winners, or a hugely profitable month, and those new members call me a genius. Neither is true. Some members can get a little carried away with their kind praise.
Joe sent me a receipt of his winnings, adding:- “You are great, Vernon – bless you sir!”
Sean e-mailed:- “Magnificent as always! What a legend you are!”
Kind of those gents to call me “great” and a “legend.” But that may be overstating things somewhat! I simply work hard at ensuring my members receive detailed analysis. I do what I did too little of in my school days. Homework.
I spent all of Friday studying race form for what turned out to be a Saturday of great racing and even greater profit. Saturdays are always full of racing fixtures. I concentrate only on the best quality meetings. Punters can make the mistake of betting too much, on too many events. I syphon out not only the best races but, crucially, those in which I believe there are potential value bets. Be they win only or each way punts.
Take Saturday May 25th as an example. I told members that I didn’t fancy Magna Grecia to repeat his win in the English version of the 2000 Guineas, in the Irish version at the Curragh. I fancied Too Darn Hot would finish in front of that one but I did express my concern that Too Darn Hot might still be tired from the exertions of a race over further only a week earlier.
I told them my each way NAP would be Phoenix of Spain. A past winner for us, and a horse that had got close to both Too Darn Hot and Magna Grecia in the past. I alerted members to a price that was simply too big to ignore. I expressed my confidence that Phoenix of Spain would, at the very least, finish in the first three. The grey, under a dominating ride by Jamie Spencer, did more. He won and members were quick to respond with their gratitude at backing a 16/1 winning tip from VG Tips. At the end of the great day of betting, long time subscriber Michael messaged me to say:- “Excellent day V , keep ‘em coming!”
