Saturday was a very good day at the ‘office’ for VG Tips members who only place single bets. 6 out of 8 football tips paid off and all 3 racing selections at Kempton Park returned profit.
Tea for Two, ridden by Lizzie Kelly, was the easiest winner of the day. The pair came home first in the Lanzarote Hurdle and did so by a whopping 16 lengths. Any member backing Tea for Two (be it each way or to win) at the original odds of 11/2, knew they had won a long way from home. Which is always nice.
Of 5 racing selections on Saturday, three won. The others were also odds against when selected. I made Kingscourt Native my most confident selection of the day (the NAP). That winner was available at odds of 13/8 when members of VG TIPS were advised. And the final winner tipped at Kempton Park was Balder Success, which was priced at 11/10 when tipped.
Change sports and it was a very good day for those who back my football tips as single bets.
The NAP landed in the football was a win at odds of 23/20 for Newport County to win at home against Portsmouth. They did just that.
Other winning football tips were Sheffield Wednesday to win at Nottingham Forest at odds of 11/4. I tipped Burnley to beat QPR (5/4), Wycombe Wanderers to beat York City (11/10), Birmingham City to win at home against Wigan (6/4) and West Brom to beat Hull City (11/10).
That’s 6 winning football tips from the 8 offered.
So, collectively, members received 13 tips for Saturday. Of which 9 returned some handsome profit.
Not a bad day at all at the home of profitable punting.
