Hands up who remembers when a Friday of racing was a regular delight? When you could rely on the weekend to begin with quality racing. Those were the days, we thought they'd never end - as Mary Hopkin once sang.
This Friday, in the UK at least, is a celebration of low class racing. It is becoming the norm. Great if you love Class 5 and 6 crap. But if, like me, you prefer top quality racing, then you are in for disappointment. And it toubles me that this is becoming the norm.
