At least not on the scheduled dates. It was also announced that should Royal Ascot take place in July, it would be staged behind closed doors.

    Do you believe in forward planning? Are you the most patient of punters? If so, then read on.

    I am not a regular ante-post punter. Most of you know that by now. Not because I don't have the patience to wait for a bet to pay out (I'm still hopeful Pinatubo will get a chance to win the 2000 Guineas for me at odds of 10/1, albeit probably not at the start of May).

    But some ante-post tips paid out for us at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival. None of those bets were placed a year . . .
