VG TIPS members were in profit again when Speculative Bid won the Victoria Cup at Ascot.
An each way selection offered to members the night before when priced at 14/1, the winner was the subject of a great last to first ride from Jamie Spencer. Few do that beter than Spencer.
Out the back of the field quite late in the race, the jockey knew what he was doing. He needed luck in running, of course. When you are seeking to win from last position a jockey has to find the gaps and weave his or her way through. Jamie Spencer did that perfectly.
Here’s a sample of what I wrote to members on Friday night. One part of my analysis of that race: “Jockey Jamie Spencer and trainer Dominic Elsworth have a 42% strike rate when combining. Spencer has ridden Speculative Bid three times and won on each occassion. Make no mistake, this race is much tougher than the previous three. But once again I’m looking for some placed profit.”
Well, we got more than that!
I suggested members be on each way at that price. So, for example, had you been on with £5 each way, you would have profited by £87 on your £10 stake.
At the end of a second consecutive winning week on the flat, that was a perfect way to end the week. My next selections will be on Wednesday, for day one of the May meeting at York.
For the umpteenth year running, May is proving to be a profitable month for members. And not just at the races.
There were also four football tips on Saturday. Three of which won, at odds of 23/10, Evens and 10/11.
Why not come join VG TIPS for just £10 a month? You’ll be most welcome at the home of profitable punting.
