The bookies had the best of things at Doncaster on Thursday, with favourites being beaten left, right and centre and mainly unfancied winners at prices as big as 33/1. I fired blanks. The only consolation being that I was far from alone. Not a good day for punters in South Yorkshire. But we will be back and exact revenge on the bookie before the weekend is over with.
