It's painful when one you really fancy is beaten by a head. I had a good feeling about the Irish trained Pairofbrowneyes and to be caught on the line was a great shame but, once again, proof that sometimes it is wise to play safe and be on each way even if the price is as short as 13/2.
Well backed into 4/1 on the day, I was relieved to get my stake back along with a tiny bit of profit. It eased the pain a little when watching him beaten at the death.
