On Boxing Day one of my favourite races takes place at Kempton Park. I have long enjoyed the King George Festival and who can forget the one and only Kauto Star winning the feature race five times?
But Kempton Park is under threat of development. Some of my happiest punting days have been spent there but, it has to be said, the meetings staged there since all weather racing dominated the fixture list are not as good as they were when it was a turf only racecourse.
