There are some big races approaching.
At Haydock on Saturday, the Temple Stakes will take place on ground firmer than is the norm at that often rain soaked, heavy going racecourse. While thunderstorms are predicted for the West of England on Saturday, the rain may not arrive in time for this race.
Trainer Karl Burke will walk the course before the race to decide if his entrant, the favourite Quiet Reflection, will take part in the race. Burke is hopeful that will be the case. Washington DC could offer the main threat to the favourite.
