The heavens opened at York on Wednesday and several horses were withdrawn by their trainers.
But what's bad for some was good for others. For us it was a case of placed profit via each way bets.
Some bookies returned on the first five home in the first race of the day. Qassem, a 20/1 tip yesterday, raced well, tired late on but held on for fifth, so I made profit on that bet.
When conditions turned awful, I tweeted (@betonsportstips) that Lexington Abbey was a non runner and so I suggested having a small each way bet . . .
