On the weather front, that is.
The UK looks set to to pay the price for near record temperatures. Storms and some heavy rainfall is forecast by the Met Office over the weekend. Which racecourses become the most sodden, we cannot know.
That's a pain for a punter or tipster aiming to find winners or each way placed profit 24 hours before racing begins. Some days the Met Office forecasts are spot on. Other days, they can be wildly inaccurate. It's still not an exact science, although it's much better than it was years ago . . .
