We had a winner at 5/2 on Wednesday but it's also worth remembering that the favourite I refused to back at odds of 4/5 was beaten. Only just beaten, but beaten nonetheless.
Most punters know that backing odds on favourites all the time is a fast road to the poor house. I've seen punters on course put hundreds or thousands of pounds on horses racing at very short prices. I confess I do not understand that policy. You stand to win little, relatively speaking, but stand to lose the lot because so very often, odds on . . .
