The news came on Wednesday that limited crowds will be allowed to return to certain racecourses, beginning at Doncaster in September.
That's the historic St Leger meeting which culminates with the feature race of the same name on Saturday September 12th, the same day as the always excellent Irish Champion Stakes takes place at Leopardstown.
We can only hope that the experiment of bringing crowds back to racing ends well.
