Bless the Wings was second for us at an each way price of 16/1 in the Irish Grand National. It was a race that meant a great deal to the trainer Gordon Elliott. The prize money he won for finishing second pushes him further ahead in the race to be Champion Irish trainer for the winter.
A title usually won by Willie Mullins, it's clear that owner Michael O'Leary (of Ryanair fame) taking so many horses away from Mullins a few months ago, and placing them with Elliott, has made the difference to the likely winner of . . .
