The weather changed considerably on Monday morning and there were several non runners declared at Pontefract and Windsor, including one of ours. We had some winners that day, but too short a price to blow any trumpets!
Studying form and making selections prior to heavy rainfall can prove to be a waste of time. As it is for trainers who prepare to send a horse to a racecourse - often a long way from home - only to find a course that was declaring Good to Firm going is now saying it will be Good to Soft or Soft.
