Chester is one of the most historic racecourses in the country. The Roodee has a great history and, if you love your racing, do try and get there one day.
The course is a tight one and over the years has been acknowledged as one with a great draw bias. Especially in the short distance races, a low draw tends to give horse and jockey an advantage. That is, of course, if the horse and the jockey are any good. A bad horse will not win from stall 1. But a good horse will struggle to win if drawn in . . .
