What motivates jockeys to take a certain ride?
Well the chances of winning and a slice of the prize money is up there.
Good friends Ryan Moore and Richard Hughes may well fight it out for the title of Champion flat jockey once again this season. But they have to be clever choosing the rides that will net them the most winners.
Hughes has the advantage of riding for his brother-in-law Richard Hannon and getting first pick when Hannon trains more than one in any race.
Moore sometimes gets to ride the other one, as is the case . . .
