The quality of racing on Wednesday looks to be a slight improvement on what has been offered up to us on Monday and Tuesday. That's not saying much, I know.
The concentration of quality racing on Saturday's means the sport puts too many of its better eggs in one basket. There are people who can and want to watch racing earlier in the week and, at most times of the year, those spectators and punters are being let down.
It also means that the staff who work at stables are excessively busy at the end of each week . . .
