The end of the week sees the start of the Aintree Grand National meeting.
Hugely competitive racing culminating in the Grand National itself on Saturday. The most watched horse race in the world.
Not my favourite, although with each passing year there are hopefully fewer fatalities and, therefore, less need for me to watch the race from behind the sofa. Thoroughbred racehorses are bred to race and can die in their stable or in the field.
