The rain fell heavily at Catterick on Monday and some jockeys weighed in overweight, such was the state of how wet they were.
Thankfully the stewards did not impose any bans, as they did on Paul Maloney for weighing in 3 pounds overweight at the same course on the last day of January.
His 3 day ban was quashed today on appeal and it was accepted that his overweight was due to him being soaked to the skin. Common sense prevailed - eventually.
