Wow! And wow again!
Did you see that? The turn of speed shown by Kingman when winning the Sussex Stakes. For a second there I thought he might have been lulled into sleep by the other horses. But, no, not a bit of it.
The turn of speed late on was breathtaking. I've not seen anything like it since Frankel lit up the same racecourse.
Kingman looks special and won with jockey James Doyle using only hands and heels to beat Toronado, who is no schmuck.
That's what racing should be all about. Seeing great horses in action . . .
