Today's intended meeting at Taunton was called off days ago, so bad has been the flooding in the South West of the country.
The weather continues to play havoc with racing and we can only hope conditions dry out for the Cheltenham Festival, which we'll be enjoying this time next month.
In the coming weeks you will witness some low grade races and very few of the best horses will be seen on a racecourse. Trainers will be keeping their best horses under wraps for Cheltenham and, after that, for the Grand National meeting at Aintree in April . . .
