Saturday was a day for the old boys to bounce back, relatively speaking.
Irving and Bobs Worth won and Simonsig battled well with stablemate Bobs Worth but, to quote jockey Barry Geraghty, "emptied out" late on. Bobs Worth had not raced over hurdles for a few years but proved he is no back number when winning at an incredibly generous price of 11/1. Congratulations to any punters who kept the faith.
Sunday sees the return of some other famous names of recent seasons. Not least the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, Coneygree.
