Mark Bradstock and family must be pinching themselves. What a week for the small stable. One week training the novice Coneygree to win the Cheltenham God Cup, the next sending out 12 year old Carruthers to turn back time and win a good race at Newbury on Saturday. The former Hensessy Gold Cold winner of 2011 jumped as immaculately today as he did four years ago.
It's always good to see the less well known stables get winners. They operate with a much smaller staff and everyone has to chip in with the work. I think it is time . . .
