The rain forecast to land almost all day at Prestbury Park did not materialise. Some fell, but nothing like as much as expected.
That was great news for trainer Paul Nicholls who was able to send out his Vincente, which won by a country mile. Nicholls feared the ground would be too soft, but it wasn't and Vincente was not only an easy winner but, at 16/1, offered incredible value for those that backed him.
It's great to see proper racing back. It lifts my spirits to see competitive jumps racing in action at Cheltenham.
