What a week of close finishes at Cheltenham.
I have never seen so many tight finales at the festival. Including in the Gold Cup. At the last fence it looked as though Bobs Worth and Silviniaco Conti would fight out the finish.
Then, seemingly from nowhere, came On his Own (16/1) and Lord Windermere (20/1). Suddenly, the front two in the betting market were beaten and the bookies began to smile broadly.
The bookies had a good day Friday. And, as Graham Taylor once said: "do we not like that?"
