Friday provided us all with a reminder of why I tend to prefer betting on a horse dropping in class of race, rather than one stepping up in grade. It doesn't always work out that the one taking a step down goes on to win a lesser race. But, more often than not, they do.
That was the case today with the Harry Fry trained Jessber's Dream - which will now be sent to compete in a Grade 1 race in Ireland.
I told members that Jessber's Dream was the one dropping in class and the chief danger . . .
