Big crowds turned out for Good Friday racing and I'm always happy to see busy racecourses. But what about the rest of the year?
What attendances today prove is that if you build it, they will come. Spectators that is. True, there's little else to do on a Bank Holiday in the UK, but if only racecourses put on good quality meetings more often - and got their promotion and publicity right - there wouldn't be racecourses going out of business, or turning courses into greyhound tracks.
On Friday only Third Time Lucky won for us at early odds . . .
