The Coral Eclipse on Saturday was an interesting race.
Some jockeys have taken stick from racing writers, broadcasters and punters for allowing the winner to get too far ahead of them before laying down a challenge. It was a fast race and the favourites were quickly off the pace.
Congratulations to jockey Paul Hanagan who rode a clever race and won on Mukhadram. The margin of victory was 2 lengths. Hanagan is a jockey I very much admire.
You'll not find me criticising the other jockeys. With horses going at a rate of knots, jockeys have to make split . . .
