A Friday in September would once have offered the punter a guaranteed choice of competitive racing, awash with good quality meetings.
Tomorrow, that is not the case. I am once again concerned that the quality of racing at the end of the week is now nowhere close to being as good as it was a few years ago.
Of course, Saturday will offer plenty of meetings up and down the UK and the high profile handicaps at Ayr, but when a Thursday and Friday in 2015 (outside of the big feature meetings) begins to imitate what a Monday used to . . .
