The jumps season is warming up. Trainers are taking the covers off some of their best horses and getting them ready to compete in the high class races that will be plentiful in November.
And the next few days look busy. Some big names return to action on Saturday, especially so at Wetherby, and the card at Kempton Park next Monday has all the appearance of the best Monday racing we've seen for a long time.
As for Friday, I offer a mix of selections on the flat down at Newmarket, and over the obstacles up in West Yorkshire . . .
