Willie Haggas trained another winning newcomer on Thursday.
I mentioned that his Redkirk might well be the greatest danger to my Yarmouth selection, and so it proved. Redkirk won well and at a good price of 6/1.
It is obvious that I wish I had sided with that newcomer.
You never know what you are going to get from a horse first time on a racecourse. The trainer may have an idea, but he/she cannot know for sure.
But Willie Haggas does have a good record and, in what was a weak race, he clearly has a decent . . .
