The north-south divide will be evident on Friday, at least according to the Met Office. But, they predict, things will be different from the norm.
The Met Office says there will be heavy rainfall at Newmarket (no selections) and earlier in the day at Ascot (two hopeful each way picks).
But, they claim, a dry day up in Yorkshire at Thirsk and York (selections at both).
Why does the rainfall matter? Because it makes it hard to predict winners unless there exists in those races proven soft ground horses. Remember, most of those we are seeing in action right . . .
