There has been much talk of climate change. I've never considered how it might affect racing. But clearly it will.
All experts say wetter winters will become the norm. Therefore, National Hunt racing may have to reconsider its annual schedule. Trainers need to prepare their horse for big meetings like the Cheltenham festival each March.
Increasingly it seems they cannot get 'a run in' for those horses prior to the festival. And that is vital . . .
