Is it wrong to back a horse each way in a race of so few runners that bookies will only return on the first two?
It depends on the price. On Wednesday I did not back the promising looking Najd each way because the early price was only 7/2. But I wish I had. That's because not only did Najd come second, but did so at the much, much bigger SP price of 11/1. So, had I backed Najd each way I would have made a little profit.
Although beaten by over three lengths, I doubt you . . .
