Well the Irish bookies working at Navan will have been "having a few scoops" in the pub on Tuesday night.
The hot favourites on which they took so much money got beat. And jockey Ruby Walsh had a day he would largely forget. The poor run from Thousand Stars was particularly shocking.
We won with Irish Thistle, the then 8-1 selection in the first at Navan, and with 6-4 shot Coverholder. But Tuesday was not a good day for punters. It was largely a good day for the bookies.
