Day one of the Punchestown festival in Ireland saw vast crowds and some top class action.
Sprinter Sacre was the star of day one of the festival. Not foot perfect maybe, but still a comfortable winner and the forecast paid off a little with Sizing Europe coming a gutsy second, as predicted here twenty four hours ago.
The enthusiastic crowds in Ireland loved seeing the great horse that is Sprinter Sacre in person and credit to trainer Nicky Henderson for taking him over the Irish sea. He didn't need to and many other trainers would not have done so . . .
