So it was that the shorter priced win selections won at York on Wednesday while the each way hopefuls failed to back up my confidence in them.
The only one I let get away that I was kicking myself over was Cousin Khee, which more often than not races over the jumps. Back on the flat, I should have trusted Ryan Moore. He rode that one to victory at odds of 14-1.
No horse impressed me greatly at York. Not even the two winners for us, Steventon Star and Liber Nauticus. I certainly will not be backing the latter . . .
