So Wednesday saw us start on a terribly unlucky note. Jockey Jim Crowley had Nap Wiesse Socken nicely placed and poised to win. Then he had to avoid Mr Dandy Man who was bouncing off the rail, so Jim went for a gap that did exist. Only to have that door closed on him by the eventual winner, Umneyati.
Crowley switched our one wide and it ran on well, but the change of direction blew any chance of winning. Weisse Socken finishing second. But if this one is racing in this class of race next time around, I would expect . . .
