There's only one thing wrong with the Cheltenham festival. It comes to an end.
And it is coming to terms with the knowledge that the highlight of the jumps season is over with. The Grand National is a lottery. The racing at Cheltenham is all about the best of the best winning competitive races.
The flat season officially starts next month. So we now enter that odd period where the jumps season proper has not ended, and the flat season proper is only warming up.
