Day one of Royal Ascot supplied some splendid racing on Good ground and with big crowds.
I thought the minute's silence for the late, great Sir Henry Cecil was well observed. Not for racing the need to applaud so avoiding the likely embarrassment at some idiot shouting out something abusive (football, take note).
Lots of top class Group 1 races on Tuesday and the star turn was probably the comeback win for my second favourite bet of the day, Dawn Approach. Incredible that you could get 13-8 and 6-4 on this . . .
