Bookies will be happy with the outcome of the 2014 Grand National at Aintree.

The winner, Pineau De Re, was not well backed by punters. A clear cut winner, at odds of 25/1, the horse is trained by the likeable General Practioner, Dr. Richard Newland.

And all went well for the Doctor today. In the end that is.

At one point in the race jockey Leighton Aspell almost parted . . .
