Has the FA cup lost it's lustre? Is the magic still there? Clearly not for many managers. You can't really blame those from overseas. The FA Cup is not in their DNA. Why should it be? They may hail from countries where domestic cup competitions are not as all important as the FA Cup has been for me and my generation of football supporter for by far the majority of my lifetime.
Those clubs that do still take it seriously, and field strong teams, have a serious opportunity of winning silverware. True, the days of a Wigan or . . .
