As I was today when the first tip of the day, Masamah, won at an SP price of 14/1. Members of my selections service were advised to get on when priced at 16/1 the night before racing.
Here is what I told them.
“I am simply going for Masamah. Now down to his lowest handicap mark for more than two years, the grey gelding has the useful jockey Darren Egan in the saddle claiming three pounds off.”
It was two years since he had won a race but, looking at past form from this sort of handicap mark of 100, I was confident that Masamah would at the very least be placed. I felt good about Masamah. A reliable jockey in the saddle and a winner for us in years gone by. Only beaten by a short head last time out in a Class 2 race such as that he won at Ascot today.
In the past year Masamah had been placed in Group and Listed company races and from a higher handicap mark.
So, in brief, that is why I picked this each way winner for members of VG TIPS.
And I am glad so many members were on.[symple_heading type=”h3″ title=”William Hill are offering new customers a £25 free bet when they sign up” margin_top=”2px;” margin_bottom=”5px” text_align=”left”] Interested? Sign up here. I want a Free £25 bet.
